Workshop with Jack:
Jack not only goes back to the fundamentals of painting, he demonstrates (actually shows you) what he is talking about. He gives new eyes to design, color, and harmony. His enthusiasm for teaching is inspirational.
Jack’s workshops are terrific! He willingly shares his years of experience, his successes and the pitfalls. He helps you approach your paintings with more precision and planning—things we all need to do but always forget. He is so patient and helpful, a really great teacher.” — Janice Jones
“Felt like I had struck a gold mine of learning and understanding after your great critique and lesson at the workshop the other day.” — Kay Kalar
“Many thanks for the terrific workshop. My head is bursting with your new ideas.” — Joan Nied
“Dear Jack,
Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to participate in your workshop last Saturday. As always, you had everything set up and well-organized.
I never cease to be amazed that I come away from these sessions with a painting! It is fascinating to fill in the lights and darks, then top it off with the blend of medium mixed with a bit of color. Instant unification. Then comes the painting in of the various colors to achieve a completed picture.
Although we all worked on the same subject, each painting still ended up being individualistic as every artist (or, like myself, would-be-artist) expressed him or herself to produce a unique work of art. . . While I don’t expect to become a famous artist, I do enjoy being able to translate what I see and feel in a visually pleasing manner and creating something my friends and neighbors exclaim over, “YOU did that?!” — Elizabeth Roberts
